Farm-boy.co.uk, is Jake Hannah’s homepage. It concerns my love of travel and the outdoors with a heavy slant towards cycling. Also described are some hiking and sea kayaking trips.
The website started off as a collection of ride reports but lately I have been wandering about the world a bit, so it has also includes a blog of my travels.
The trips described are not meant as exact route guides but more to give a flavor the trip and how I got on. Hopefully there are enough pointers to better resources for anyone who fancies having a go themselves.
Most of the articles have been written by me. You can tell these by the appalling spelling and grammar. Better ones have been submitted by friends. Read more about them below.

Jake Hannah Jake's main passions are mountain biking and cycle touring. For him the cycling nirvana is when he can combine them both on an offroad tour. A work shy lay about, Jake spent most of 2006 exploring Scandinavia and New Zealand by road bike and mountain bike respectively. In a disturbing recent development he has become immersed in the distinctly depraved world of fixed gear bikes. |

John Kennedy A great ideas man, it is just a shame that John is often too busy to carry out any of his great plans. Despite this affliction he has managed to complete several fairly monstrous offroad tours including riding from Nairobi to Dar es Salaam and the Munda Biddi Trail. John can often be seen riding a 1970s Raleigh 20 ladies shopping bike. |

David Leslie A veteran of many winter's commuting in Aberdeen, David will bike come rain, snow or shine. Not only does he own a fine stable of bikes, including a unicycle, but also has one of the best cycle workshops in town. A fine friend indeed. David has a strong interest in road cycling. Rumors that this is a ruse to cover his lycra fetish are completely unfounded. |

Lynda Baker Lynda's first taste of epic mountain bike rides was when she was drafted into our team for the Correiyairack Pass Challenge as a last minute replacement. Despite some filthy weather she loved it so much she was back again the following year for the Highland Coast to Coast. Now there is no stopping her. The downhill expert in the gang, she is making Specialized re-think their helmet replacement policy. |

Simon Buckley A reluctant cyclist, Simon is never the less a sterling hill walker and good skier. He recently broke an 8 year run of living in cities called Newcastle (NE England and NSW) by moving to Bergen, Norway. There, in between the showers, he can be found yomping from hut to hut, skiing (cross country and downhill), playing frisbee and extreme floodlit sledging. |

Tim Stafford The bodger extraordinaire, Tim has honed his skills on racing Minis and during the Plymouth-Dakar rally. Also a recent deportee to WA, he is the driving force behind the trandem project. His welding skills are invaluable; his enthusiasm with an angle grinder terrifying. |
