Dutch Speed Bicycle Recumbent

I built this bike myself after puchasing a kit from Dutch Speed Bicycles. The kit contained the main yellow part of the frame, the forks, the seat (in bits) and various bits and bobs. To this I added the rear traiangle from an old mountain bike and various bits and bobs I had lying about. The result is my very own, affordable recumbent bicycle.

Building the bike was great fun, riding it probably even more so. My main regret is that living in the city centre as I do, I don't get many oppurtunities to ride. It was definately designed for the open country roads, not heavy traffic. I did complete the 2005 Great Inverurie Bike Ride on it, and it provides an interesting feature in my sitting room.
