The search has been improved with the addition of a keyword search to compliment the database filter search. This function will return all pages (eg bikes, recipes) not just routes.

A chart showing distance cycled per month has been added to the Ride Log. I ended up having to use Flash to do this, which is not ideal, after spending far too long wrestling with various php code.

I have split the offroad menu into day mountain bike rides and touring routes, mainly as it was becoming unwieldy to read and manage.

Nothing too visible today. Hiking menu page created, but not many routes. I have also put an automatic 3 month archive on the front page blog. All other menus are under thr process of being re-coded to read from my database. This effects little but makes adding new stuff much easier for me.

The shear volume of rides means that some of the menu pages are getting a bit un-wieldy. With this is mind I have added a search function to help with navigation. The database of rides that I have created to facilitate this will be used in menu page creation in FBUK Rev 2, due for release in the near future.

I have set up a database to record details of all rides I complete. The running totals are automatically calculated and displayed on the navigation panel. Summaries of the rides can be viewed in the ride log.

One of my favourite hobbies is planning new routes (even if I never seem to ride half of them). I have jotted down a few words about how I go about this and some of the references I use in an article about planning rides in Scotland.

In addition I have (finally) created the thumbnail images for the Morocco gallery so this should load in less than a week now.

I have added the information sheets that I wrote for the CTC to the articles section. These are about the Highland Coast to Coast route, the Cairngorm tour and general offroad cycling around Aberdeen. These are all available in both Word and HTML format.

A few new things today. New menu page for the shop now that farm-boy bumper stickers have been added. Likewise a menu called misc. This is going to be the miscellaneous section really as well as a few essays that I may write on cycling. I have got it started with my favourite recipe for flapjacks.

The main thing that I've been working on over the weekend is the CSS style sheet. This has minimal visual effect, although the pages aren't so long now and the content should be centered. I have also added a footer with my contact email address.

I have created the thumbnail images for the Coast to Coast gallery so that should now load in less than a week.

A ride description for the Firmouth and Fungle route has also been posted. No piccies though so I'll have to do it again sometime, which is no bad thing.

Have posted thumbnail galleries for Coast to Coast trip and Morocco. They are a bit slow to load as I haven't bothered to reduce the size of the images for the thumbnails.

CSS has also been validated. Logo and link added.
